HP Unveils the LaserJet Pro P1100 series

HP has recently unveiled a LaserJet Pro P1100 series of printers with a new “plug and print” technology. Besides the printer, HP also unveiled its first portable scanner (ScanJet Professional 1000) and two HP color LaserJet professional (CP5225 & CP4020) for small and mid-sized businesses. Wai Koon Chow, Mono LaserJet Product Manager, Imaging and Printing Group, HP APAC has said, “From the moment one plugs the computer to the printer using the USB, it takes less than two minutes to take out a print,” The new models launched by HP are: – HP LaserJet Pro P1102w and HP LaserJet Pro P1606n. HP claims, the HP LaserJet Pro P1100 printer are most energy efficient laser printers, as they saves energy up to 72%. This new “plug and print” technology allows users to start their printing function without any CD installation. This new process is known as HP Smart Install. You can also find this process in other series of printers like HP LaserJet Pro M1130/M1210 and HP LaserJet Pro P1566/P1606n. In addition, the MFP series are low priced and equipped with an embedded Ethernet connectivity. Facebook, being one of the top social networking Website’s, has once again shown its popularity in the world of social networking. HP aims for the Palm

Hewlett Packard has announced on last Wednesday that it will buy the industry’s struggling dwarf, Palm for $1.2 Billion. The announcement has triggered the shares of Palm to increase their value by about 28%.  This move marks the entrance of HP into the smart phone segment, a company more known as the one of the world’s largest desktop and laptop manufacturer. HP’s vice president Todd Bradley has issued a statement that HP aims to build up on Palm’s innovative technology for the mobile platform and also expand on it. Palm has been struggling to survive in the cut throat competition since a long time. Yahoo Will Exclusively Broadcast Online Highlight Videos from the Premier League

In an announcement made on Wednesday Yahoo UK announced that it has become the exclusive rights holder for Premier League football highlight videos in the United Kingdom. Yahoo UK beat out Virgin to get highlights to be broadcast online. This deal for Yahoo UK is going to start in August and will last until 2013. The value of the deal is worth millions of pounds in value. There is no available information around with regards to specifics on how much money is going to be involved with the entire offer. The deal will allow Yahoo UK to show highlight clips of individual Premier League matches. Each clip will be five minutes long and will feature all of the big moments and plays that occur in each match.
