Avoid Traffic with Google™ Maps Real-Time Updates

If you want to go to an unknown destination in your city then how would you proceed? Most of the time, you will call up your friend or relative and ask for the shortest route to the destination, as well as the estimated time of the journey. So, why not ask Google? To make your way to your desired destination a little easier and faster, Google has now incorporated real-time traffic data in Google Maps. The map service will now give you more realistic estimated travel times. Although this functionality exists in many platforms, but the inclusion of real-time traffic data is something that makes Google Maps a little more useful. Google Maps will make use of data about current traffic conditions and give you an estimated time of your journey to a particular destination. This will help you to choose the smartest route and avoid those long traffic queues on the roads. It will gather this real-time traffic data from the My Location feature available on Google Maps, as well as third-party resources. So, it’s time to move faster and...

Google™ to Compete Facebook® with a Third-Party Commenting System

Google has again made up his mind to go head-to-head with Facebook. According to reports, the search engine company is working on a third-party commenting platform that will directly compete with Facebook’s commenting system. The company is planning to integrate this commenting system into its different services and offerings, especially Google+.   The platform will enable the comments made by users on external websites to appear on Google+, as well as Google search results. The commenting system may prove to be a good alternative for those publishers who are already using Facebook’s commenting platform. The project actually came into light at a Google event held in Saudi Arabia earlier this week.   For now, nothing can be said about the success and failure of this new third-party commenting platform from Google, but the move will definitely help Google+ to get the much-desired attention of users around the globe....

Check out Google™ Self-Driving Car

Have you ever thought of using a self-driven car? How great would it be if you can just feed in the location details and the car would take you through to your destination on its own? The concept first came into existence way back in October 2010 when Google announced that it has been working on self-driving cars that would drive themselves around California. Recently, it released a video showing a partially blind man, Steve Mahan, behind the wheels of Google’s self-driven car. In the video dubbed as ‘Self-Driving Car User #0000000001’, Steve has been showed using the car for his daily routine. It’s, without any doubt, the technology for the future! The car makes use of cameras, radar, lasers, and pre-programmed location details to move safely around the streets. Check out the video below to know more. [youtube...
