Export data to MS Excel
In order to export data from Microsoft Access to MS Excel, close if any MS Excel workbook is open. Then open Microsoft Access from the ‘Program List’ in the ‘Start’ menu and in the navigation pane of the source database select the data that you want to export. Select ‘External Data’ and click on ‘Excel’ in the ‘Export’ group. Review the file name for the Excel workbook in the ‘Export-Excel Spreadsheet’ dialog box. Then in the ‘File Format’ box select the appropriate file format. You can also view the destination MS Excel workgroup by selecting ‘Open the destination file after the export operation is complete’ checkbox.
Export data to MS Word
To export the data to MS Word, open Microsoft Access and select the navigation pane of the source database and select the object that you want export. Click on the ‘External Data’ tab in the ‘Export’ group and click on Word‘. Now an Export Wizard opens and enters the name of the destination file. If you want to export only selected data then click on the checkbox ‘Export only selected records’ checkbox. Leave the checkbox if you want to export all the data. Click on ‘Open the destination file after the export operation is complete’ if you want to view the file after the export operation is complete.
You can move the data temporarily or permanently from Microsoft Access 2007 using the ‘Export’ feature. Using export feature we can move the data to any of the application such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel etc. While exporting the data Microsoft creates a copy of the selected data and save the copy to the MS Word or MS Excel. Exporting is the best technique used to copy the data to other applications.
