Motorola® to Ship XOOM Tablet PC Units in Q1

Motorola is one of the largest mobile phone makers in the world and now they have decided to ship the new Android 3.0-based XOOM tablet PC. It will be available in four different colors and during the first three months even ship up to 1 million units as reported by DiGiTimes. The shipping deal would consist of some of the key orders placed with company. Motorola XOOM has a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. It is powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor that enhances its performance levels. The video quality is quite impressive.

Motorola XOOM would also include HDMI and USB ports with a 5-megapixel camera. The camera has 720p HD video recording capabilities. The added feature is the front-facing 2-MP camera for video chats. Regarding its connectivity, Motorola XOOM can support both 3G and Wi-Fi connections. There are several different features in this device but some of the significant ones include Google Maps 5.0 with 3D interaction. It also supports the Android market and you can download apps from the market place. It also has Gmail and Exchange e-mail support.
