LG Planning 3D Technology without Glasses

LG is planning to unveil a Smartphone with 3D viewing and recording capability. And an added benefit of viewing 3D videos without the bulky glasses. Named as Optimus 3D it is planned to unveil at Mobile World Congress at Barcelona this year. The phone touted to be the most advanced and running on innovation will feature a dual-lens camera for 3D recording and a LCD screen for displaying the visual content. It comes with a 4.3 inch LCD with 800×480 resolutions. Parallax barriers are used as a series of light-blocking slits attached to the front of the LCD panel according to LG to help differentiate between the left and right image without requiring special 3D viewing glasses which gives us the perception of depth. It comes with HDMI and DLNA connectivity options to connect with a visual display or another media device for a rich media experience. It is rumored to run on NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor to power its 1080p HD video playback and recording.with a 8 megapixel camera with flash a front camera for video calling. The high resolution screen display is guaranteed to ensure an ultimate gaming and video experience. 3D enabled visual experience in a handheld device is not a new experience, Nintendo 3DS already has made an entry in this market. It also boasts of glasses free 3D experience. However the 3D effect can only be seen if you are staring at the screen from the front end, tilting negates the 3d effect. However the 3D effect is so mind-blowing that you would forgive Nintendo for this. It is not “characters coming out of the screen” 3D but depth 3D, and all this without the cumbersome 3D glasses.

LG’s press release states that the LG Optimus 3D addresses the lack of 3D content issue – one of the biggest challenges facing the 3D market – with a complete platform for a one-of-a-kind experience on a mobile device. They continued, stating that LG’s most advanced Smartphone to date would be featuring a dual-lens camera for 3D recording, a glasses-free LCD panel for 3D viewing and diverse connectivity options such as HDMI and DLNA for 3D content sharing anytime, anywhere.

The market trends are currently moving towards 3D with gaming Smartphones and televisions all moving towards this future. Sooner or later more and more companies will embrace 3D. LG has made the first steps towards this in cell phones. This was a future only imagined and now LG has brought it to our hands. Shape and form has been given to one of our fantasies. LG will have to be careful though that only 3D will not make its phone sell, it should have complimenting power packed features like a high processing power and a good battery life to make it against the huge array of Smartphones lined up for a release. This 14th of February in Barcelona at the Mobile World congress be prepared to be bedazzled.

Review of Toshiba’s CEVO-Engine

Toshiba is happy about its upcoming CEVO-Engine, which is going to launch in the beginning of next year in a price range of “sub-€5,000”. So, CEVO-Engine in a nutshell is a bunch of those multicore processors stacked on top of each other and that allows more picture processing. The Cell of these microprocessors are capable of converting 2D to 3D but the CEVO-Engine is capable to set aside a whole processor for it, with its surprisingly decent results. It can also upscale the half resolution 3D into 1080p.

The CEVO-Engine with ultra-bright LED is going to be a masterpiece creation from Toshiba. As its name suggests it comes with a ultra bright LED panel for display. The working of this power packed machine is totally different from a regular TV. It works with powerful microprocessors and ultra bright LED panel that is controlled by the CEVO-Engine itselt. The CEVO-Engine is the core component of the machine which controls the all graphical processing in the machine. The machine is supported by cell microprocessors stacked on the top of each other and with the help of these microprocessor the engine becomes capable of processing the pictures with more efficiency. The whole panel of display comprises of more than three thousand LED’s and with a combination of these micro LED’s and the processing power of CEVO-Engine the machine becomes capable of processing HD images and videos. Apart from this, the CEVO-Engine introduces the prepping 3D technology. This technology makes sense to the realm of 3D. It helps in the rendering of 3D objects and Peoples are particularly excited about the prepping 3D technology for display. In this technology the adjustment of brightness and colors can be made to compensate the dimming effect of 3D glasses. The necessary headroom for this is provided by 3,000+ LEDs. Those lights will be split into 512 locally dimmed regions. The CEVO-Engine performs the heavy lifting of image analysis. Actually it’s painful to look at these displays at full brightness when the lights are off but when the shutter of glasses are on we found that the picture is as close to “regular”.

Apart from the basic TV, the CEVO-Engine TV will take you a mile ahead. Its each and every function is optimized according to you and moreover its revolutionary concept of its ultra bright panel of LED LCD will give you a complete satisfaction upon its purchase. Unlike the regular TV it will tune you to feel the richer graphical experience. We can say that this technology from Toshiba is a milestone in the field of technology and entertainment. As compared to its features it cost to you at a very low price. CEVO-Engine TV from Toshiba will going to change the definition of entertainment very soon.

The CEVO-Engine TV itself has a nice design heritage but looks-wise it’s nothing revolutionary but the technology on which this machine work is of course revolutionary.

Predict TV niches coming from the top Manufacturers

TVs have undergone serious transformation in the recent years where the companies manufacturing them came up with overwhelming yet exotic devices to attract more and more people towards their brand. The competition started with simple slim LED models and then moved on to the plasma TV models that provided better quality compared to the LCD ones. The race then moved on to 3D world and it seems the hype is settling down a bit.

For a company as big as Samsung, Sony, Panasonic and Vizio, this isn’t the state to rest a bit rather they need to come up with something even better to stay on the top of the list in their respective niche. Its time that they start defining new trends and releases even with the previous inventions that they have been working on to stay in the market. There was a time when a TV was a TV only but things are not the same now. There are many other factors that have been involved into the selection criteria that include size, components, as well as features that make the product a distinct choice altogether. The products that these companies have recently introduced might make a clear guess of where are these great buyers heading.

Samsung:

Samsung has always been a technology renderer that has been providing with adequate expansion in the technology every time by coming up with a distinct product. It seems that the manufacturer will not be coming up with the LED or Plasma TVs anymore. The company is expanding in LED 3D TVs lately and offers the highest quality in the 3D televisions available in the market. The company is going very good internationally as out of 300,000 3D Televisions sold between March to June, 270,000 belonged to Samsung. Samsung has 18% share in the international market of LCD TV that is 7% more compared to previous years.

Sony:

Sony was controlling 11.3% in the start of this year with respect to the LCD market and continues to control the market not only in the Television markets but also with the gadgets and other electronics as well. June marked the launch of a firmware update in PlayStation 3 that brought in the 3D feature. The company has recently filed a patent for split screen multiplayer gaming technology that too in 3D mode where each player has a different screen within the same Display unit. Sony even has TVs that are intelligent enough to turn off once there seems to be no one watching them. They have a wide arena to expand their technology apart from the TVs only.

Panasonic:

Panasonic is leading the Plasma TVs in terms of fan followers and brand royalty. Plasma TVs from Panasonic account for 37% shares in the market that is the highest with Samsung following at only 14% comparatively. Many of the analysts and reviewers around the market consider Panasonic’s Plasma TVs to be the best in the market.

Vizio:

Despite facing a lot of competition, Vizio has placed itself on the top of the list of LCD televisions and has the leading technology involved in the price that many a people can afford easily. They sell low price HDTVs in large quantities to the common people so that they enjoy the technology just as the elite people can. They are coming up in the 3D arena with cheap technology again where the classes will cost no more then $10 compared to the next available for $100.

Now, it time that you make the decision of what niche of TVs are you after and you will certainly find this helpful for your next possible buy.
