Facebook is a social networking site that unites your relatives, friends and colleagues – people that are helpful in building a great community around your website. If you have a blog as well as a Facebook account, you are going to love the Networked Blogs application at Facebook as it lets you ‘claim’ your blog and invite friends to rate your blog. It also sets up a new tab on your profile to make your posts visible. Even if you have multiple blogs, the posts from all of them can be displayed under one single tab. At the time of signing up, you are given a list of options of blogs to follow, from friends who are also usingNetworked Blogs. So you can think of this application also as a feed-reader which lets you bookmark, rate and share other blogs you follow on the Networked Blogs group. You can verify your authorship by asking your friends to confirm it, invite all your friends at once and add your blog details (blog name, URL, tagline and description, feed URL, up to 3 tags). In short, it helps you create a community around your blog which you need badly for your bog to become a hit! Now you want to know how to promote your blog on Facebook using Networked Blogs application. Let me tell you how to do this in a few simple steps.

Step 1:

Visit the Networked Blogs page at Facebook and Add NetworkBlogs application to your page.

Step 2:

Temporarily add an html code to your blog to ‘claim your blog. You can also ask 10 friends to help you claim your blog, but this is a little time taking so the HTML code feature is best in my opinion as it is very easy and only takes a minute or two

Step 3: Now it is time to invite your friends on Facebook to join your Blog Network and you can start sharing the page with your friends. Your friends can rate your blog and leave comments.

Step 4: If you have allowed the NetworkedBlogs application to update your page status every time a new post is published you can relax and let your blog post auto-post to your profile.

After youhave 11 Readers, your blog posts will automatically post to your Facebook profile which you will find really nice since in the past, you needed to manually post your blog posts to your Facebook. This automation will certainly make your blog posting much easier.

Step 5: You can also add a widget to your blog, so that your readers can easily find you on Facebook.  You can do this by clicking on “Promote Your Blog.”

Step 6: If you want your blog be promoted even outside Facebook, then you need to register your blog with NetworkedBlogs.com which is an extension of the NetworkedBlogs Facebook application and makes their user-generated blog directory accessible outside Facebook which currently has around 120,000 listed blogs.
