Apple’s Safari grows faster than Chrome in July

According to the postings of Apple’s safari last month, it observed the biggest increase as far as usage share is concerned in the consumer market. It left the nearest competitors like perennial champion chrome far behind in this game of popularity & the number of users. This was the latest declaration of Web metrics vendor Net Applications. It is just like winning the race in the market of internet in a very easy manner.

The chrome users are really in a surprise state. It took the shape of a gain game that turned out to play in the favor of the former one. After the tagging up of the specific browser with Apple’s revenue troika of Mac, iPhone and iPad the profit was unexpected & sky rocketed to the increase of nearly around 8.1% in the month of July this year. It is a kind of an unachievable record that it gained. May be the main reason for ir is the user friendly structure of the same along with some more features that turned out to be in favor of the users. You too will be very much astonished to hear that the monopoly of internet explorer is on the verge of extinction. It dropped by 53 percent that occurred from the early phase of January till July & August respectively.

The browser was in a defeated state that really amazed its users. This is the biggest decline that it had ever experienced. This performance in such a poor state of decline in popularity & uselessness continued at a steady rate for three months simultaneously along with some other traits that didn’t go in favor of the same. It is a prediction that it would fall at a steady rate of minimum fifty percent by the end of this year. It is a perfect matter of fact that Google Chrome was the only equipment that improved its general performance by growing & maintaining its general share by 13.5%. Although the performance was not at all credible with the 15 percent share on October last year. Similar was the case with two other very popular internet browsers, Mozilla’s Firefox and Opera Software’s Opera. The lost the usual place of popularity bearing a loss of nearly two tenths of its users along with some of the very long & huge problems still in the picture.  Firefox, which kicked off a rapid-release schedule in late June that will result in a new version every six weeks, now accounts for 21.5% of all browsers, more than three points down from its peak in November 2009.

Google™ Chrome Beta hits v.10, and Chrome Developer hits v.11

Google Chrome version 10 is available for the public and version 11 is now available for developers. On top of the list of new features in Google Chrome is JavaScript along with the “Crankshaft” version of the new V8 JavaScript Engine. JavaScript is used for a number of web-based applications such as Google Docs. Crankshaft is capable of enhancing by sixty five percent the performance of the V8 benchmark suite of Google. It uses adaptive compilation, identifying important code and optimizing that code as required.

Google Chrome offers data encryption through its password management utility. The design of Google Chrome is based on the WebKit layout engine and application framework. The bowser now incorporates the SandBox technology. It prevents your computer from getting infected from malware and other security threats. The browsers comes with new add-ons, themes, personas and settings, so that you customize it according to your requirements and preferences.

Existing users of Google Chrome automatically get updated to the new version as and when Google Chrome is accessed after the launch of the new version. Google Chrome can be regarded as one of the most user friendly, advanced and secure browsers that are now available. Other popular web browsers include, Internet Explorer from Microsoft, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, etc.

Google™ Chrome address bar revamp

Google is currently experimenting with several radical changes to its Chrome user interface. It will have several new features including a compact user interface that hides the URL address input bar when pages are not being loaded. Google’s Jeff Chang in a post to the Chromium developer mailing list under the title major user interface efforts, describes four user interface variants for the Chromium OS project. The first is the “Classic Navigation” which is similar to the current Chrome user interface. However another UI layout being seriously considered is the compact navigation one which would be a big step forward from the current browser. Chromium, widely known as the open source version of the acclaimed Chrome browser and the Chromium OS, is the building block for the Chrome operating system. The UI variants are meant for the coming Chrome operating system. As of now the current Chrome browser has the URL address bar always visible with the navigation and menu tabs, but with the new compact and uncluttered design navigation buttons have been moved alongside the tabs and the address bar is configured so as to be only visible when the webpage is loading, an option to make it visible again is also available.

According to Google if they bring the address bar out of the tab it could be utilized as both a launcher and a switcher, the user would not have to worry about replacing their current active tab. The new user interface separates the search and address bars, they are currently joint in Chrome’s current Omnibox setting. With the new compact navigation the search box will still be used for direct navigation by visiting the page directly after entering the URL, and the UI will automatically hide the URL as soon as the page loads. Google’s current navigation option is more familiar with its basic navigation style and is akin to the Chromium browser window using UI in its maximized mode.

Google reiterated its commitment to remain focused on both the classic and compact UI. Google is also working on a new user interface exclusively for touchscreen phones and devices. Google says that for such devices screen size is a key limiting factor that has to be taken into consideration, so Google aims to provide larger tab and toolbar targets than those on the Chrome. This user interface takes up more screen space but is still ideal for portrait devices and has an auto hide button to enable full screen viewing.

Jeff Chang has maintained that Google stays true to its commitment and has already started work on making the necessary changes and getting the necessary widgets and add-ons available soon so as to enable profile selection to show on the browser window.

Updates for Google™ Chrome

Developers are working on updating the Google Chrome browser to resolve issues that may be affecting its performance. Right now Google is hoping to bring down the crash rate considerably. All the major browsers are rushing to release a production quality browser with hardware accelerated graphics, but it seems Google will be crossing the finish line first.

Last year Google had started offering Google Chrome in stable, Beta, Developer, Canary and Night build versions in parallel. According to reports, there were issues in the Canary and Nightbuild versions. According to the Chrome developer threads, most bugs appear to be affecting GPU acceleration and it seems that crash issues in the developer and beta versions can be completely solved by deactivating this feature via launch switches or flags accessible through the black list Chrome developers are assembling.

A new release of the Beta version of the software claims to be more stable than the previous versions. It contains WebGl improvements under Windows XP and restores Flash sandbox. Chrome uses the OpenGl interface for 2D and 3D graphics acceleration which is complicated in Windows where support for Open GL is not good when compared to DirectX technology. Google, however, avoids this problem by Project ANGLE that converts OpenGL commands into DirectX. Chrome apparently has come up with a list of features to disable to ensure a stable browser experience on incompatible devices. Chrome has reiterated support for IndexedDB, a developing standard that enables web application storage. This helps in ensuring that Google apps work offline, which is a major reason behind cloud computing’s success. It also comes with a new task manager much like Windows, which tell you about web applications that are running and also about background applications.

With such fast paced development, it will soon be available to users. Since Chrome’s launch it has become a fore runner in the race of the browser providing the best browsing experience. It is gaining popularity among users who are hoping for a new web experience through its promise of hardware accelerated graphics and a new revolutionary interface.

Google™ Chrome Update Enhances Speed

An Internet browser plays a very important role in performing daily computing tasks. Google Chrome is one of the most popular web browsers. Google Chrome is fast, reliable and very easy to use. It was launched as a beta version for the Microsoft Windows operating system on 2nd September 2008, and the browser was made available to the users on 11th December 2008. Now, the latest version of Google Chrome is version 10, which is now easily available to the users through the Internet.

The previous versions of Chrome were not capable of providing good speed. But now, this new version of Google Chrome enhances the speed with a 66 percent enhancement in JavaScript performance via its V8 benchmark. This will help in running web applications faster in the browser. It will also help you to do better search as now it is the fastest web browser than any other browser.

It has also extended its sandboxing technology to the inbuilt Flash Player. The sandbox isolates the running code from the rest of the operating system so that it has no right to use the critical processes or data, and prevents it from either deliberately or non deliberately doing any harm to the programs or the system. Google Chrome already uses sandboxing for HTML rendering and JavaScript execution. Adobe and Google has the integrated Flash Player plug-in, so now you do not need to download any other Flash Player plug-in. The first step after opening the browser is the update which adds a new interface to the Google Chrome and creates a tab rather than a pop-up menu. There would be a search box on the interface that will provide results as you type and provide direct links for future reference, which a user can use with ease.

These new features that have been included in this new version of Google Chrome are very useful and would definitely make a user feel more comfortable while browsing and don’t have to search continuously to find a way to import the settings, bookmarks or to change or remove the browser’s home page

Now a user also has the option of syncing their passwords from one computer to another. Users often want a better security feature, so for a better security reason, there is an option to encrypt the passwords with your own secret pass phrase. To enable this feature, navigate to the “Personal Stuff” section in Google Chrome’s settings options (or just type ‘sync’ in the settings search box). Syncing also applies to bookmarks, extensions, preferences, themes, and more. Hence it is one of the most trustworthy browsers which a user can use for surfing the Internet.

Yahoo!® Japan and Google™ Form Partnership

Yahoo! is famous for services and software such as Yahoo! Mail, search engine, Yahoo! Maps and Yahoo! Messenger. Google is the owner of the most popular search engine and also offers software such as Google Chrome. Yahoo! and Google both are leaders in their own right and since a while there has been speculation about a partnership between Yahoo! Japan and Google. Recently they were evaluated by Japan’s Fair Trade Commission. It is the commission’s responsibility to ensure that no monopolies or unfair trades happen in the country. Yahoo! Japan had verified in July 2010 only that it was in line with Japan’s laws, but there were some groups who were apprehensive about the legality of the proposed alliance. There were concerns like when Google US supplies the search technology for Yahoo! Japan, they will become one of the biggest suppliers for Japan’s search volume.

There is also other issue like both Microsoft and Yahoo! US were concerned about the partnership and raised some doubts about the fairness of this partnership. These issues are not limited to US groups only but it also concerns some Japanese firms as well like Rakuten Inc, which is a web-based domestic retailer in Japan. However, the deal has been approved by Japan’s FTC. Yahoo! US cannot do much about it because it only holds a third of Yahoo! Japan.

Japan FTC will continue monitoring the deal and regulate monopolistic practices. The partnership is looking controversial but several market analysts had been predicting this decision for relatively some time. The surprise part is the choice of Google over Microsoft. The competition over Internet searches is getting bigger and in the Asian market, this deal will influence the nature of other companies also. The deal has taken place due to the different conditions in Japan and also the demand by users. Yahoo! is surely going to boost its presence in Japan and moreover in other Asian countries also.
