Mobile World Congress is an international trade event where thousands of exhibitors get a chance to display their forthcoming technology associated to mobile devices. The Mobile World Congress 2012 will commence from 27 February and continue till 1 March 2012. HTC is coming up with a Facebook phone, which will run on Android, to offer you a smooth and quick access to Facebook. The social networking fans are surely going to love this phone.

Is Facebook your first love these days and accessing your account on the go your favorite pastime? If the above statement is true then you might be surely checking updates using your phone and other handheld devices, which involves lots of hassles as it requires downloading a Facebook app and use it to do so. How about getting a phone which is primarily meant to access Facebook only? Sounds exciting right?

Here‘s a piece of good news. Facebook has collaborated with HTC to come up with a phone which is solely dedicated to Facebook. The project is still in the pipeline.

Well, the exciting thing about the phone is its code name ‘Buffy’. It seems that the masterminds behind this phone are in love with the TV series ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’.

HTC Facebook phone will be powered by Android OS and will also support HTML5 as a platform for other applications to run without facing any error. Bret Taylor, Facebook Chief Technology Officer is said to be leading the project.

In a statement, Facebook commented: “Our mobile strategy is simple: We think every mobile device is better if it is deeply social. We’re working across the entire mobile industry; with operators, hardware manufacturers, OS providers, and application developers to bring powerful social experiences to more people around the world.”

HTC® ThunderBolt is available on Verizon Wireless®

Verizon Wireless has launched the HTC ThunderBolt and the new Samsung 4G LTE smart phone. HTC ThunderBolt will have a 4.3-inch display using a 1.2GHz processor. It will come with Gingerbread, Android 2.3, Qualcomm MSM8960 dual-core processor, an eight megapixel camera as well a front-mounted camera. ThunderBolt from HTC will have LTE connectivity with a 4.3 inch touch screen. The Samsung 4G LTE phone has features like Android 2.2 and a 4.3-inch AMOLED display with 1GHz processor and a 8-mega pixel camera.

These phones, which will be available on Verizon Wireless, were introduced at CES 2011. The ThunderBolt was initially called Incredible HD or HTC Mecha. It also has a built-in Skype video calling facility. These phones would enable Verizon Wireless to give its customers high speed online gaming. HTC ThunderBolt comes with a voice over and data facility over LTE while the Verizon 4G iPhone will not have the facility of voice over and data facility. Both the ThunderBolt and the Samsung phones will have the Froyo update. Samsung showcased its phone at CES 2011 and was launched by Verizon Wireless. Let us wait and see the market trends for both the phones, They are bound to be phenomenal and become quite a hit with the customers.

Nokia® C5-03 review

Nokia is the largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world. The company makes a range of phones for CDMA and GSM networks. The 3.5G connectivity is also an added advantage in the Nokia C5-03 and you can connect it to any Wi-Fi hotspot. Nokia is hoping impressive sales for C5-03 with added Ovi Maps and other applications. In the smartphone sector, Nokia is lagging behind bigger counterparts like Apple, Samsung and HTC. Nokia N8 was recently launched but recorded an average review. Nokia is very much aware of this situation and is introducing excellent products to meet consumer demands.

Microsoft®: Update glitch hit 10% of Windows® Phone 7 (WP7) users

It is very important to update software so as to get the latest version with new features. When the Windows Phone 7 operation system was launched, it was thought to be the latest and flawless version. But it also requires an update so that it performs in a better way.

Software need to be updated at regular intervals. After the launch of the Windows Phone 7 operating system, there is news coming from the tech world that some of the users of mobiles and other devices are not able to get their software updated. It is believed that 90% of the users have been able to get their Windows Phone 7 operating system updated. But there is news that reveals that about 10 percent of the users have not been able to update it. On this CEO of Microsoft, Steve Ballmer, has said that the reason of failure is network connectivity. Because of the network weakness it is not possible sometimes to download all the files of software and this is the most probable reason of this glitch in update of Windows Phone 7 OS.

There is news coming from the sources that these updates will be available earlier in March. HTC is all set to launch its first CDMA with the updated Windows Phone 7. The model is supposed to be the HTC Arrive CDMA. It has started a new war among big players in the smart phone market. It is believed that the update problem is with Samsung phones. As a result Microsoft has decided to suspend update services for Samsung mobiles.

As per the news from Microsoft, it is believed that updates for Windows Phone 7 are expected to come in March. The news about the glitches coming in the way of update is related to the Internet connection as it is easier to get updates on a 3G network as compared to the earlier ones like broadband.
