Motorola CLIQ 2 Android smartphone

The latest handset in market launched by Motorola is Motorola CLIQ 2 Android smart phone. There are a lot of options available in the marker regarding smartphones. The phones that we see have a mass appeal and they offer multiple functions to the users. If you are interested in knowing about them, you can make relevant research on the Internet and there you will get all the data and facts about the products.

Motorola CLIQ 2 runs v2.2 of the Android OS. Motorola CLIQ 2 is mainly called DEXT in Australia. It is a budget smart phone which is focused heavily on social networking. It features a 1GHz processor, display of 3.7 inches with a new design, which targets the niche market. Motorola CLIQ2 is different in design from other smart phones by Motorola. The latest version of MotoBlur service is designed into this new handset and has an interface which is widget-based that combinesthe communication accounts and multiple social networks. This handset is very easy to handle with its unique features. A honeycomb style keyboard design gives it a different feel and look.  The company claims that it will give the feel of original CLIQ as the keyboard is very easy to type on for the users.

For connecting to the networking sites, the users have to create a Motoblur account; obviously it is free and the data and content are already pushed live in their handset so users will not face any difficulty. The users also get security features from Motoblur services which include the ability of erasing out the content of the handset automatically if it is stolen or is lost.

Now let’s take a glance over its hardware designs. It’s actually wider and slider than other models with 4.57×2.35×0.57 inches and 6.17 oz. Underneath the display there are four buttons  that  are touch-sensitive, the up top is power key, right side is the volume controller and the top-next is the 3.5 mm headphone socket. There’s a shortcut to the camera, which is 5 mega pixel and auto focus and it has the LED flash with it. The SIM slot, standard 1420 mAh battery and micro SD slot are also there.

Facebook Contact Sync Messes Up with Motorola’s MOTOBLUR

The problem of Contact Snyc is being caused by the presence of MOTOBLUR on the phone. There are two version of the android, the original one and the X. Motorola provides the download of the facebook app on both but here Motorola trashed up the whole thing.

If you are using the original version of the droid, the regular facebook app provides an option to sync contacts all, existing or none. Whereas in the X version it entirely skips the contact sync. What it does is that it overrides the option and automatically starts displaying the inbox.

To sync contacts using the droid X, you have to into the “my accounts” of MOTOBLUR and use only their Facebook app. The problem it creates is that it starts to download all of the contacts and you cannot choose for any other option. Another problem with MOTOBLUR is that is starts the social networking app and does not let you adjust any of its settings as there are no settings available for it.

In MOTOBLUR there is a live widget on the home screen of the phone which lets you view different conversation threads, updates of friends, links, stories, photos, etc. You do not need to fiddle with a lot of applications and menus. MOTOBLUR has been designed quite well and delivers quite a lot of things in an unexpected fashion:

Happening: All that is happening in your social media networks that you setup in MOTOBLUR, their updates are delivered directly to the home screen, and you can immediately reply to them in any way you like. It accommodates everything like status updates, bulletins, wall posts, friend feeds, etc

Messages: The messages part has been designed perfectly. It has combined your personal email, work email, social networking website’s messages and text messages all in one place. And you can reply to it in anyways you like no matter how it was received at your end.

Social Status: Now you can update your status right from the home screen. This also has another time saving option of updating a single status to all of your social networking sites at once.

Calendar: You can integrate your work calendar with Google Calendar in one single widget. This widget shows the upcoming appointment in the home screen.
