Cherrypal announced its first tablet computer, CherryPad, with the Android operating system in the later part of 2010 in the month of October. CherryPad was very successful and became hugely popular. CherryPad had advanced features and came with a low price tag. Now Cherrypal has another product which will be soon launched.
Well to start with it must be said that the product in question has not been directly declared by the officials from the company. In other words this is news that got leaked and is now making headlines on the Internet. Until and unless anything formal comes from the company officials, there cannot be any authenticity of the news, but still we can have an initial idea of the product. This can certainly help in understanding the various types of options that are available to people. To offers a small recap of the Cherrypal America tablets, here are some of the facts that might help to understand the concept of the tablet better.
The tablets had come with a 7 inch capacitive touch screen display, 256 MB RAM, 2 GB internal storage system, 800KHz ARM 11 Processor, 3200 MAH Battery and the Android 2.1 operating system. As it appears this new device from Cherrypal will also feature a 7 inch capacitive touch screen with a little higher resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Among the addition for the Cherrypal 2 we have the 1GHz Cortex A8 processor, 16 GB internal memory, 512 MB RAM, dual camera and Android 2.2 Froyo.
There is also an important mention of a slot for micro SD card, GSM antenna, HDMI and other features. At $300 it may appear to be a decent deal but if it touched the $400 range then it will hit the upper rank. But anyway, time will tell as to how much truth is there in this leaked news as the product gets officially launched in a few weeks time. Sadly enough as it seems this may turn out to be another Android tablet.
