Acer recently introduced its new Android running Smartphone tream during a conference in China. Acer also came up with LumiRead e-reader, a notebook (Aspire 5745P) and an all-in-one PC. While the products have been introduced already, it is still not known when the products will be available in the market. Nevertheless, the reception in store for these new Acer launches is sure to be more than humongous.

Smartphone Stream:

The Smartphone is extremely well equipped with the Android 2.1 interface, 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, 512 MB RAM and up to 7.1 Mbps of HSDPA download speed. The phone also comes with an HDMI port and video recordings up to 720p. To add on to its many features, a 2 GB internal flash memory, microSD slots supporting up to 32 GB memory, 8 GB memory card make Stream apt for those looking for multimedia entertainment. The Smartphone comes with a 3.7 inch WVGA display offering 2000:1 contrast, while also supporting a fluid 3D interface. Home page is customizable using widgets, while applications open fast with a single tap. Multitasking is one of the major attributes of the phone with the presence of Android OS and history panel on top of the display.

Stream is integrated with a 5 mega pixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G, and it offers the users three different types of keyboards to choose from along with Nemo multimedia player and Spinlets, a streaming service that allows the users to listen music, browse and share on social networking sites.


Along with the Smartphone, another device that is sure to gain a lot of interest and appreciation is LumiRead. LumiRead comprises of an e-Ink non-glare display meant for ebooks and audio books giving a feel of news print or books. This device can help deliver e-books and audio books without any problem in terms of content. What is more, Acer has collaborated with Barnes and Noble and (Germany) for offering complete access to their e-bookstores. Acer is also looking to link up with French and Italian bookstores to provide more content to the users. The display of LumiRead will be 6 inches, while it showcases a 2 GB internal flash memory. The device comes in clean white color and has an option for microSD slot. WiFi and 3G connection are other features supported by the device. An ISBN scanner also allows the users to zap codes and create their own wish lists for ebooks. The QWERTY keypad pairs well with the web browser making it extremely easy for the users to browse and enjoy the content.

All-in-one PC:

Acer has also introduced a new all-in-one PC aiming to keeping the entertainment as the emphasizing point. The aluminum cased Z5710 is specially meant for kitchens or family rooms. It is 23 inches, showcases a touch display resolution of 1920 x 1080 and has Dolby Home Theater v3 interface integrated with 5.1 channels and HD surround sound effects. This also showcases a multi card reader, TV tuner and HDMI port.

Along with all the above devices, Acer has also launched a notebook, Aspire 5745P which ensures a high-end multimedia experience for its users. With all these products lined up for launch, Acer is sure to find more fans now than it ever did!
