It was said by Motorola Mobility CEO Sanjay Jha, that this device will be available in stores in the first quarter of 2011 in 3G form. These devices are capable of being upgraded to 4G later this year. But he did not announce the price and also the event was ended without any questions from reporters.  Motorola is also predicting that this will be the most competitive product in the marketplace.

Motorola has a partnership with Verizon and the Xoom (pronounced “zoom”) will operate on Verizon wireless network. Xoom users will also be able to upgrade to 4G LTE in the second quarter of this year. However, they did not make clear if a Wi-Fi only version would be available. With the videos shown in the press conference, it was very clear that they will not produce Wi-Fi only version because the Verizon logo was clearly visible at the top right corner. They also told reporters that it was still under development and will be available soon for hands-on demonstrations.
