The Taiwan based company; NU has recently introduced NU EBR240 as the world’s slimmest portable external Blu-Ray writer. Being the world’s slimmest external Blu-Ray writer, the NU EBR240 is an ultra portable device that has dimensions of 155x141x18mm (WxDxH) and weighs just 380 g.
This Ultra portable Blue-Ray writer comes with USB bus power and can support maximum recording speed of up to BD-R 6X and burning speed of up to BD-RE 2X. The NU EBR240 comes bundled with an USB 2.0 interface along with 8 MB buffer cache. The NU EBR240 has five times more capacity as compared to a dual layer DVD disc. Also NU EBR240 supports dual layer burning for storage and back-up on BD or BD-RE disc. The NU EBR240 comes with SmoothLink Buffer under-run Prevention technology which enables stability while writing.
Also the NU EBR240 can automatically adjust the writing speed to minimize disc error while using poor quality media during high-speed recording. The world’s slimmest, ultra portable Blu-Ray writer can be powered with the help of an USB cable instead of connecting the traditional power cable into the power socket.
