Verizon Wireless has launched the HTC ThunderBolt and the new Samsung 4G LTE smart phone. HTC ThunderBolt will have a 4.3-inch display using a 1.2GHz processor. It will come with Gingerbread, Android 2.3, Qualcomm MSM8960 dual-core processor, an eight megapixel camera as well a front-mounted camera. ThunderBolt from HTC will have LTE connectivity with a 4.3 inch touch screen. The Samsung 4G LTE phone has features like Android 2.2 and a 4.3-inch AMOLED display with 1GHz processor and a 8-mega pixel camera.
These phones, which will be available on Verizon Wireless, were introduced at CES 2011. The ThunderBolt was initially called Incredible HD or HTC Mecha. It also has a built-in Skype video calling facility. These phones would enable Verizon Wireless to give its customers high speed online gaming. HTC ThunderBolt comes with a voice over and data facility over LTE while the Verizon 4G iPhone will not have the facility of voice over and data facility. Both the ThunderBolt and the Samsung phones will have the Froyo update. Samsung showcased its phone at CES 2011 and was launched by Verizon Wireless.
