The latest Halo is a much awaited game and it is going to release on September 14th 2010 for Xbox 360. Halo has a great franchise but it’s been getting stale lately. The developer of the game seem to be taking their final shot at a Halo game very seriously and have introduced a number of new interesting features, armor abilities, space combat and new vehicles like the Falcon and flat bed truck.
The another great release of this year is Dead rising 2. October 1st 2010 is the date of arrival of this game for its Xbox 360, PS3 version. I loved the original dead rising and I have been eagerly anticipating the sequel since it was announced. I remember playing through the first game and wishing it had co-operation, I know a lot of other gamers felt the same way as well. It’s great to see that Blue Castle Games and Capcom are throwing co-operation into the mix this time around. Personally I am hoping they fix the strange save issue from the first game.
Another big release of this year is NHL 2011. The date decided for its launch is September 7th for Xbox 360 and PS3 version. I used to play hockey video games almost religiously in high school times but for the last few years I have not really played them much. NHL 2009`s online Be A Pro changed this. It was just to amazing and one of its kind. NHL 2009 revamped the entire formula for hockey video games just by throwing this feature into the mix. The 2K franchise could not possibly compete and has slowly become a former shell. There was something ridiculously addictive about building up your NHL superstar in this game and with the release of last years NHL 2010 EA Vancouver completely perfected this formula. Another much awaited game of this year is Mafia II, which is going to be released on August 24th, 2010 for its PS3 and Xbox 360 version. The last time I remember hearing anything about this series was probably 7 or 8 years ago when I watched my brother play through original Mafia on the PC. Then I saw this trailer and finally decided to have it. It’s like you are the God Father and the main character. Its rags to riches story looks like it might be the best I have ever seen in a video game.
The last big release of this year is Dead Space 2 and the date decided for its release is January 25th for its PS3 and Xbox 360 version. I recently started playing the original Dead Space and I found it in a bargain bin at my local EB Games for just $19.99. This game is a survival horror masterpiece. Its atmosphere, enemies, weapons and setting combine to create a truly horrifying experience.
All these game release are the unmatched combination of graphics and game play that will surely give you a unforgettable gaming experience.
