As reported by DigiTimes – Apple had contracted Pegatron Technology for manufacturing its CDMA compatible iPhone. James Ratcliffe, an analyst as Barclays reported that around 9 million new Verizon activations could happen if Verizon iPhone comes into the market. Despite these upcoming ventures a rumour from droidlife has come saying that Verizon might formally announce that they would not be carrying the iPhone 4 altogether. There are too many complaints about the poor cell phone reception. Apple has launched several fixes for fixing the poor signal issue but this has leaded the customers to believe that this issue is with the iPhone itself and not with the carrier.

DroidLife has further reported that Verizon is planning to launch a new ad campaign with the slogan “Rule the Air” and “Send A Strong Signal”. This campaign would not be branded as Verizon Wireless but Verizon instead. Droidife also quoted that Verizon could announce that they wont be carrying the iPhone 4 and will focus more on their high-end Android series mobile phones. The Android line ups with Verizon are Motorola Droid X, Motorola Droid 2 and HTC Incredible. Verizon Wireless announced Samsung Fascinate, a Galaxy Smartphone. It is powered by Android 2.1, the Samsung Fascinate will have support for Google Mobile services, including Gmail, YouTube, and Android Market. The device will come loaded with Bing Maps and Bing Search. In addition to these, Samsung Fascinate will act as a mobile hotspot allowing you to connect up to five Wi-Fi devices such as your Laptop, your iPad, or other Wi-Fi enabled devices. It includes 1GHz Hummingbird processor, HD video recording, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and DivX Support. The device has an in-built storage of 2GB and will have a 16 GB microSD card with its package. Fascinate will also have 6 axis sensor which can lead to a new mode of mobile gaming experience. Besides this the most important feature of the device is the 4 inch super AMOLED display. It also carries a 5 Mega Pixel camera along with LED flash. The colours are incredibly sharp and vibrant. This for sure is going to be an incredible deal of Samsung with Verizon which might second the rumours of discontinuation of iPhone.

These predictions cannot be taken lightly as DroidLife has always been giving quality news all the times. These don’t seem to be rumours and definitely carry some weight to it. In recent past DroidLife’s reports regarding the new Verizon ad campaigns were quite substantial and were seconded by many blogs and forums. Some of the posts have even managed to get the actual ad materials and have published them too.

As of now according to DroidLife, Verizon’s new Ad campaign boasts of a Strong Signal across their network and across all the handsets lined up. It would be of no use to have a potentially faulty device like iPhone 4 and be admonished by the users for dropped calls, but before jumping to any conclusion about Verizon iPhone 4 lets wait for the final confirmation.
