Angry Birds, the smash hit game developed by Finnish computer game developer Rovio Mobile, is going to crash on your Facebook page this Valentine’s Day i.e. on 14 February. You will able to hear the chirping of those lovely wingless birds and grunting of those fat and adamant pigs on your Facebook from 6 PM to 9 PM on 14 February.

The event was announced by Rovio Mobile in a typical Facebook style by creating an event and announcing the coming of Angry Birds. Rovio sees this as the “biggest Facebook event ever!”. The description of the event says, “Squawk! Everyone’s favorite furious fowl, Angry Birds, is coming to Facebook! Nothing says “Happy Valentine’s Day” like competitive pig-popping among friends! Join in on the fun – mark this date on your calendars.”

Angry Birds is so addictive that by November last year it touched the 500 million download mark across all platforms and including both regular and special editions. The game has been christened as “one of the most mainstream games out right now”, “the largest mobile app success the world has seen so far”, and “one of the great runaway hits of 2010”.

Angry Birds on Facebook is expected to come with full-screen capabilities, leaderboards (to compete with your Facebook friends), high-definition animations, and new power-ups that can be earned or purchased for just US$ 0.99.

Do let us know if you enjoyed flinging the birds online this Valentine’s Day.
