Best Buy, a company which is renowned for consumer electronics in U.S announced recently that they are going to sell iPhone to Verizon subscribers. This deal is definitely going to be a profitable one for both of them as Best Buy controls 19% market share in consumer electronics. The date from which it will be available has been fixed as February 10th. It is interesting to note that from this day only the smartphone of Apple and Verizon will also hit the market.
People can get the iPhone 4 either at the Best Buy retail shop or at Best Buy Mobile stores on a first-come, first-served basis. It is worth noting that the white iPhone has been delayed by Apple a number of times. Though the California-based iPhone-maker has never stated any particular reasons to justify the delay in the availability of the white model, but a screen shot has been obtained by some gadget blogs which shows that Best Buy has a stock of white iPhones. The last time when Apple commented on this issue was that the white iPhone 4 will be available in 2011.
Shawn Score who is the president of Best Buy Mobile said that among the many consumer electronics items that the company sells, iPhone 4 will be a very important device. He also said that the company was very much excited to help Apple and Verizon Wireless both to bring this wonderful device to a large number of people. Later, he added that since the customers always expect that Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores should have the best collection of mobile handsets everywhere, this new iPhone 4 on Verizon’s network is the company’s latest effort to deliver on their expectation.
The price for white Verizon iPhone 4, as reported has been fixed at $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB model. It will come with a contract for the period of two years. Verizon, a leader in telecom services said that from the coming Wednesday, that present Verizon customers can start pre-ordering the iPhone 4. Apple, temporarily, said that the qualified buyers can also buy the Verizon iPhone 4 from apple.com, but they will have to wait till next Wednesday, Feb. 9th for delivery. The handset will be available in-store from February 10th only. So right from 7 o’clock in the morning on February 10th, the new Verizon iPhone 4 will be available for pick up from Apple and Verizon stores. It is also worth noting that since the last month, Best Buy has also started offering an iPad MiFi bundle along with various service plans which are available on AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. Best Buy has been selling the Apple iPad in all of its 1,093 U.S. stores from September 26th 2010.
