If someone were to ask you if you have gone Google you would certainly be surprised at this new found vocabulary-“Go Google.” According to Google there are more than 3 million businesses have “gone Google,” which in simple terms translates to adopting Google Apps. But what’s even more surprising is Google’s statement that over 30 million individual users (schools and businesses) have adopted the various tools that are offered by Google.

These announcements by Google came on the event of the cloud computing event that was hosted by Google for CIOs and IT professionals regarding cloud computing in Paris. This announcement couldn’t be well timed especially as Google is expecting competition from Facebook with regards to it user base. But the only advantage that Google has right now is the vast offering of its products which not only deal with the social networks but also business applications.

According to Dave Girouard, President, Google Enterprise “Only cloud computing is able to deliver the whole package of productivity-enhancing collaboration, superior reliability and virtually unlimited scale at a price that’s affordable for any size organization. Our Atmosphere event is a nice opportunity to step back and fully appreciate the power of the cloud with customers and future customers alike.”

The number of users that are using Google has significantly increased. With a wide product range offering diverse services other that search results, Google is yet to expect phenomenal growth.
