Google informed in their report that they have modified filtering engine and made more advanced protection against Java script attacks. The java script attack occurrence is spread over the internet.
Protection Against Spams And Viruses
In the Google report, they stated further that the Java script attack is a kind of advanced version which is categorized in the area of viruses and spams that occurred in email. The email messages appear as any normal email but the Java script appearance is not there, that means it works in hidden form.
According to blog posted on Google, it states that the messages included in classic Java script that has a code, the messages could vary and may take any number of forms which is a challenging job to verify.
It was observed that there was a huge amount of increase in spams of around 16 %, but when compared with Q2 2009, the spam level reduced by 15%. Further, it is mentioned in the report that the level of virus has been steady at 250% and increased by 3% from Quarter 1, 2010 to Quarter 2, 2010.
The company stated that there may be an increase in Spam emails and viruses and will be continued in this year. The spammers are doing their job enthusiastically and adding their appearance by increasing spam levels and virus collision.
Google’s Spam Detector Software
Google continued in their report that their spam detector software was pointing out the spam messages early. This was by instigating their engineers that enables them to write about manual filters and forward it to their virus detection partners immediately. In addition to this, the company updated there Antispam engine to admit the blocked Javascript and point out the messages which are based on supported coding to ensure correctness. The hacker lures the email user by giving a chance of getting millions of dollars and for the shipping expenses it is being informed that the user needs to deposit certain amount in the account of the client. The email also intends to hack the user’s bank account in certain cases. These messages are not easy to detect by spam filters as these are hand typed and they are not sent in bulk. It is difficult to say how this goes through every spam filter, but one must be cautious in response to these emails from the sender.
