A Balance sheet is used to gain overall picture of financial matters of a company. You can very easily download a Balance sheet template from the official Microsoft Office Template Download Center. To do this, follow the instructions as follows:
Step1: Go to Microsoft Balance sheet-Template download center. On the Microsoft Balance sheet-template web page, you will find a number of Balance sheet template having different layouts and styles. You can browse through them and find one that is most suitable for the kind of Balance sheet you wish to create.
Step 2: Move your cursor over the sample you have selected. It will be highlighted and a Download button will appear. Click on it to download the sample template.
Step 3: Microsoft Service Agreement screen will appear. Click on the Accept button for the download to start.
Step 4: If your browser is other than Internet Explorer 7.0 or if you have issues regarding Active-X control, Microsoft will give you a message that your files cannot be downloaded automatically and you have to download it manually. There you will find a Download button under the sample template you have opted to download. Click on it to download your file manually.
Step 5: A message box will open that will ask whether you want to open or save the file. Choose save to save the file on your computer.
Step 6: Open the sample Balance Sheet in Microsoft Excel. You can make changes to the layout as per your style by changing the font size, font color, font type and font text and enter your business data such as company’s assets, liabilities and shareholder’s equities that you have to enter to the Balance Sheet. So you can see that it will be very easy to create your Balance Sheet from a sample Balance Sheet template. If you create it on your own you will have to worry about each and every detail and the process will be cumbersome and time consuming.
