- Using Disk Utility
There is a wonderful option called ‘Disk Utility’ in Mac OS. This will identify the performances of your drive and also give several operations related to drives. One such is ‘Format’. You can locate the ‘Disk Utility’ application under “Applications” which can be viewed at the left side of the ‘Finder’ window. After opening the Applications locate for ‘Utilities’ folder. You will find the ‘Disk Utility’ application in the folder and then click on it. After opening the Disk Utility, you may see your drives listed on the left of the window.
