Computer keyboard is the one of the important part which computer users use to ignore. We use computer keyboard most frequently, the keyboard’s keys use to fade away and the labels on the key will be removed. When we clean the keyboard with liquid or cloth, it also affects the labels of key. It becomes difficult when you are new user and you are unable to recognize keys on the keyboard.

You can label with markers or buy labels from the retailers. We will help you to label the keyboard; you just follow the instructions given below.

Step 1: Now the first step is to label the function keys, function keys can be found on the top most part of the keyboard. The first key which you have to label is the esc key and the remaining 12 keys are from F1 to F12. They present in the group of 4.

Step 2: Now after labeling the first row, come to second row. The second row contains the numeric digits, the first key is the tilde or ~ symbol with a ` below it. Now the next 10 keys are numbers 1 through 0, start labeling these keys.  It is important to mention that each number has a corresponding symbol above it. The symbols which are attached with each number are in the following order:!, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *, ( and ). There are more keys available in this row; these are dash key below underscore key, plus sign with equal sign followed by the backspace key.

Step 3: Now after labeling the second row, Label the third row of keys. You can see that the first key is the “Tab” key. And the next 10 keys are the letters Q, W, E, R, T, Y, U, I, O, and P. Now the next two keys in this rows are curly brackets { } over standard brackets [ ]. Now the final key on this row is back slash below the straight line which you have to label.

Step 4: Now come to the fourth row. The first key of the fourth row is the Caps Lock key followed by the letters A, S, D, F, G, H, J, K and L. The next key to label is the colon above the semicolon. The next two key are the quote mark above the apostrophe followed by the Enter key. Now label the fifth row of keys by sticking labels or using markers. The first key on this row is Shift followed by the letters Z, X, C, V, B, N and M. The next two keys to label are the less than symbol over the comma and the greater than symbol over the period. And the next key is the question mark over the forward slash followed by a second Shift key.

Follow the same procedure for labeling other keys which include sixth row, arrow keys and the numeric keys. There are also group of keys includes insert, page up, page down, delete and end.
