Step 1: Open the web browser (Internet explorer/Firefox). In the page that appears, click on the address bar. Type ‘192.168.11.1’ and then press the Enter key.

Step 6: The password chosen must be entered into the wireless connection client of every computer system for the purpose of a shared network connection. This is the final step after which the users will be able to connect securely. The protection against unauthorized users and hackers is thus enabled.

Apart from the password selection, there are some additional tips that should be considered to ensure a secure wireless network and the smooth functioning of your systems. The wireless security key must be changed regularly, making it increasingly difficult for any outsider to get access of the network. The key must always be written down and kept in a safe place to make sure you do not lose access and lock you out of the network. Also unauthorized users can be avoided by enabling MAC Address Filtering, disabling broadcast and changing the SSID name and installing Antivirus and Anti Malware protection.
