You can choose keyboards depending on your needs, some keyboards like basic ones use to type words and some can save your website address on one stroke. Step1: You can remap the keyboard using the control panel
First step is to click on the “Start” button in the bottom right of your screen. Now click on the “Control Panel icon. Now you are in Category View, click on: “Date, Time, Language and Regional Options” and then click on “Add other Language.” When you click on that, this brings you to the “Languages” tab. Sometimes you are in Classic view then click on: “Regional and Language Options” and then click the “Languages” tab. Now click on the “Details” button, it will take you to the “Text Services and Input Languages” window. Now you will have to click on the “Add” button. When you will click on that The “Add Input Language” dialog box will open.
In the dialogue box, select the input language you would like to use from the drop-down box. Now you will have to choose a Keyboard layout you want from the “Keyboard layout/IME” dropdown box. It also gives you the option to make any additional changes you want in the “Text Services and Input Languages” dialog box, such as the default language you want to have. There is one more option available you can also indicate the language bar to appear in the task bar. Now click on the OK two times and it will prompt you to enter CD in the CD rom.
Step2: Remap the key using an application
We recommend you to install an application: Sharpkey, it will remap the key as per your choice. Now launch the application and determine which key you want to remap. We will tell how to remap CTRL key to the function as the CAPS key. Now to do the changes in the application window, choose the CTRL key from the right corner and tap the CTRL key. Now select the CAPS lock key then tap the same key on the keyboard. Now you can repeat the steps for any other keys you want to remap. Now the last step is to click on the write to registry and wait sharpkey to do all the necessary steps.
