It has become a problem for internet users that script errors keep on prompting in the internet explorer, this causes the webpage to not work properly or display properly. These problems are commonly suspected to be cause by the computer setting, or sometimes it’s the website itself.
Knowing the Solutions
There are solutions for these errors, just try the following steps:
Solution 1: Disable the command called Script Debugging
1. Open the Internet Explorer
2. Click Internet Options
3. Click Advanced tab
4. Select Disable script debugging
Note: If this error is found in more than one site in your internet explorer, do not disable script debugging. Leave the solution 1 and proceed to solution 2.
Solution 2: Try Webpage to other browser, computer, or other user account
Try the webpage on other browsers than what you are currently using, other computers, and other user account, and if the problem in the web page persists, then the problem is not on your computer but is in the web page. If the problem is not found on any of the options then the problem is in your computer, so proceed to solution 3.
Solution 3: Verify allowed access of Active Scripting, Java, and ActiveX
1. Open the Internet Explorer
2. Click on Tools Menu > Internet Options
3. Locate and Click Security Tab
4. Click Default Level
5. Click OK
Reopen the Web Page where the scripting error is found. If no error is found anymore, that mean the problem has been solved, but if the error is still found, proceed to solution 4.
Solution 4: Remove all temporary internet-related files
1. Open the Internet Explorer.
2. Click Tools menu > Internet Options.
3. Locate and Click the General tab.
4. Locate Temporary Internet files and then click Settings.
5. Locate and Click Delete Files, and then click OK.
6. Locate and Click the button that lets you Delete Cookies, and then, afterwards, you must click the OK button.
7. Locate History, click Clear History, and then click Yes.
8. Click OK.
Make you own attempt at opening the actual Web Page where the scripting error was most likely spotted. If the error does not prompt, the problem is solved. But if the scripting error is still found, proceed to Solution 5.
Try to open the involved Web page where you previously got the notice of a scripting error. If you do not receive any prompt regarding the actual error, then this means that the issue has finally been resolved. If the issue persists, go to method 5.
