Korean handset maker, LG Electronics has become the latest company to join the race of Cloud storage. Named LG Cloud, the Cloud storage service of LG will allow users to access content across various electronic devices.

The only thing required by the user to use the LG Cloud service will be to download the LG Cloud app for their Android smartphone from Google Play or from the LG SmartWorld app store. The users can even get the required app for their LG TV from the latter app store, while the app for PCs and laptops is available on LG’s official website for download.

LG Cloud is the first that allows users to manage and consume all types of content on ‘three screens’ which includes Android smartphones, PCs and smart TVs… without a separate set-top box, explains LG.

The main USP of LG Cloud will be its real-time streaming transcoding technology that can make the content playable in an ideal format. So, if the user is on Android smartphone and wants to watch a film then it can be automatically converted and made compatible to suit the handset.
