Netgear is celebrating its 15th birthday and what can be the other time to launch some of the newest concept based products in the market. Netgear launched a vast range of products for home use in the CES meet this month. All these products will be serving to connect the home entertainment devices wirelessly with the internet. Devices like Internet enabled television sets and other players require huge amount of data transmission and the normal wireless routers available these days are not able to manage such high data flow and results in poor video display quality. Netgear stated that Internet TV is the technology of the future and nobody other than Netgear thought about making it better. With these new devices users would be able to connect their televisions and music players wirelessly. Wireless connections were available earlier as well but the throughput of currently available routers was not satisfactory. With the launch of these new wireless routers, media streaming will be as smooth as possible without clumsy Ethernet wires. Netgear has developed these routers keeping in mind that most of the TVs available these days are internet capable but only through LAN cable and not wirelessly. So Netgear has also developed wireless to wire convertors which will help the Television communicate with the wireless router.

The most appreciated product launched by Netgear at CES this year is the 3D HD Wireless Home Theatre Networking Kit. With this kit people can connect up to 4 televisions to the same wireless router and will communicate with the help of a wireless receiver connected to the TV sets. This will allow wireless streaming to happen throughout the home and now people would not need to place their Televisions sets as per the availability of Ethernet ports in their houses. Now TVs can be placed anywhere because this time they will connect wirelessly. Another device launched by Netgear in the same category is the Neo TV 550 Ultimate High Definition Media Player. This is just a media playing device which is capable of playing media at high resolution. This device has no storage functionality and doesn’t connect with any other device. Now you would be wondering from where it is going to get the media for playing. This device is again a wireless device and it will scrawl the Wi-Fi network to which it will connect and will list the media available on the shares of computers or laptops connected to the same wireless network. Media playing will be real time and no storage will be done on the device. If you want to have a separate store for all of your media like music and video then you can go for another device from Netgear called as Ready HAS Ultra 2 Home Server. This server will again pull the media content from the devices connected on the network and will keep a copy as a backup. This copy can then be played on the HD Media player or back on PCs or other smart devices capable of media playing.
