Withings, one of the renowned French personal healthcare equipment providers has unveiled Smart Baby Scale at the CES 2012. Smart Baby Scale is an Internet-connected baby and toddler weighing scale that will be available as an app very soon.
All parents might have experienced the hassles involved in weighing your baby right from controlling their movements to getting the scales through. With Withings Smart Baby Scale, you do not need to go to the doctor’s clinic to check your baby’s weight. You can use the equipment at home itself and track each and every passing moment of your child weighing up to 55 pounds (25 kilograms). What’s more, you can also transfer this data via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. You can use the Smart Baby Scale on both Android and iOS platforms. The app will help parents in monitoring their baby’s growth easily with accurate results. It is one of the best parenting apps.
The weighing scale comprises two weighing configurations. One is to weigh infants by laying them on a removable baby basket. And, the second is a toddler scale that emerges when the baby basket is removed.
Cédric Hutchings, Withings co-founder said: “We are very excited to announce our Smart Baby Scale and offer parents an amazing new way to take care of their newborn or young child. The success of our Wi-Fi Body Scale has proven the benefits of connected weight tracking on adults and we were eager to also bring these benefits to babies and children.”
After weighing, parents can also share the results on Facebook and Twitter. Smart Baby Scale is expected to be available around the second half of the year at a price of US$ 180.
Withings Smart Baby Scale has been awarded with the highly prestigious 2012 CES Innovations Award.
