It has been confirmed that Facebook is developing two Smartphones in collaboration with INQ Mobile Ltd that will run on the AT&T Inc. networks.
You can probably guess what would be the hallmark of Facebook’s smartphone. Yes, social networking. It would probably be the only smartphone in the world that will be exclusively dedicated to social networking. But that does not mean that it will have all the other features. According to reports the smartphone will be unveiled in early 2011 in Europe and in the second half on later on in US.
Earlier reports by Facebook on the release of the smartphone were denied. However Jaime Schopflin, spokesman for Facebook stated “deeper integrations with some manufacturers.” AT&T has not yet confirmed whether it will be providing its services to host the network of Facebook.
Facebook has so far declined on the specifications on the smartphone but has only said that it continues to work closely with INQ Mobile.
