Immediately after the release of vSphere 4.1 by VMware, the billion dollar VMware enterprise, Great Lakes Computer, announced the demo schedule for vSphere DRS, DPM and Dell’s EqualLogic 10GB iSCSI product. The demos were scheduled to be held at the upcoming VMworld 2010 conference that was to be conducted in San Francisco. Grand Rapids, MI (PRWEB) on July 20th, 2010 published the schedule of demo for vSphere DRS, DPM and Dell’s EqualLogic 10GB iSCSI product which was to be held on at the upcoming VMworld 2010 conference that was to be conducted at San Francisco. The conference is going to be held at the Moscone Center at San Francisco Booth # 113.

In the booth 113 of Moscone Center’s Solutions Exchange, the leading technology partners, Great Lakes Computer will conduct demonstrations that will be given by on spot VCPs and engineers that will put some light on different advanced features of VMware and will showcase the ease of use of the new 10GBE iSCSI product line launched by Dell.

Great lakes computer will be offering everyone one or the other thing and on that day, Great Lakes Computer will run an ESX 4.1 environment with multi platform hardware configurations. This configuration will constitute of Dell PowerEdge R610, HP ProLiant DL360G6, IBM System x3550 M2 and all of these will be connected to a Dell EqualLogic PS6100 10GB iSCSI SAN via Juniper EX4200 switch.

Demos Schedule:

The demos schedule will be as follows. On Tuesday, august 31st the following events will take place. At 1100 hrs, Demonstration of Dell’s EqualLogic iSCSI SAN will take place. At 1400 hrs the demonstration of VMware Distributed Power Management (DPM) will be held and at 1600 hrs the demonstration of VMware Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) will be held. On Wednesday, September 1st, all the events will be the same as on august 31st.

On Thursday, September 2nd, the following series of events will take place. At 1100 hrs, the demonstration of Dell EqualLogic iSCSI SAN will be held. At 1300 hrs the demonstration of VMware Distributed Power Management (DPM) will take place.

An Overview of the Products:

Following are the key features of each of the launched product that will be demonstrated at VMware 2010 Conference. VMware DPM (Distributed Power Management) optimizes power consumption in the data center. VMware DRS (Distributed Resources Scheduler) monitors the resources continuously and then allocates the available resources to the different running virtual machines according to the need of work. Dell EqualLogic is Dell’s storage product that comes with an advanced data protection and data management software with no additional licensing fees.

The vSphere 4.1 targets SMB markets with improved performance. vSphere acceleration Kits are designed for customers who are new to virtualization with less than 20 physical servers.
