Twilight Series – Breaking Dawn Part 1, which was released in the US on November 18, has generated $140 million in the opening week. And it seems Yahoo can’t stop bragging about the promotion they did for the movie. In fact Yahoo has really done well in promoting the movie; it deserves a round of applause.

On 14th November, Yahoo hosted on its website, an HD live streaming of the world premiere of breaking dawn- part 1. It did complete coverage of the event starting from the red carpet.Twilight fans will definitely be grateful to Yahoo for this full coverage. Fans that could not be there at the premiere were able to see the whole event on their phones and tablets.

And to top it off, Yahoo had also hosted a raffle draw, where the lucky winner got to win the Volvo S60 R-Design- similar to the one Edward drove in the movie. Yahoo had started streaming content of the movie on its website since October 31 to promote the movie.

The movie promotion was a big hit for Yahoo. The live streaming of the world premiere was watched by more than four million people and according to sources, 10 % of the streaming was from mobile users. And as if that was not enough, the lucky draw for the Volvo car also drew more than 125,000 entries.

This event has generated the largest audience in the history of Yahoo live movie premiere. The second was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1, which was streamed in 2010.
