Page Transition

Page Transition helps developers bring exceptional changes in the web page by means of wipes, blends and dissolves tips now available in the latest version IE 8. These features are very entertaining. Let us understand its sequential procedure.

STEP 1. Navigate to the Internet Options dialog box. If the command bar is visible select “Tools -> Internet Options-> Advanced”. Alternatively you can also open it through “Alt + t + O”.

STEP 2. From the tab “Browsing”, scroll down and uncheck “Enable page transitions”.

STEP 3. Now, select “OK” to close the dialog box and save your settings.

Internet Explorer® also gives options to make changes in the header and footer of the web page which you are going to print. Hence the hard copy can be paired with features like header containing the page title and page number of total pages. In addition, footers containing the web address URL and date in a short format. Even if you have shared printer at your offices, you can put your name as well in header or footer. Given below are steps to do it:

STEP 1. Navigate to Page Setup dialog box. From the menu bar you can select “File” – “Page Setup”. Alternatively, you can proceed via Command Bar, click the printer button and select “Page Setup” from the pop-down menu or even shortcut key board option as Alt+F then U.

STEP 2. User will get a scroll down menu of  “Page Setup” just below “Headers and Footers”, you would get “Header:” and “Footer”.

Three pull down menus will appear from each column. Underneath each column first pull-down contains text that will appear on the left side, the second pull-down holds text that will appear in the middle, and the third pull-down constitute text that will appear on the right side.

Different options available includes – Empty-, Title, URL, Page number, Page # of total pages, Date in short format, Total Pages, Date in long format, Time in 24hr format, Custom.

Note: From the option “Custom”, you can enter your own text to appear in the header or footer at the desired location.

Other information like page titles, dates, times, can also be paired inside the custom header or footer by using the following – &w: Title, &u: URL &p: Page number, Page &p of &P: Page number of total pages, &d: Date in short format and &T: Time in 24hr format.
