The Microsoft outgoing head of Consumer and Online division, Alex Stewart was replaced by Bruno Fiorentini; Jnr. Stewart bid his farewell to become the chief financial officer of ninemsn. Fiorentini has also stepped into the role and was also the CEO for Yahoo! 7 in Australia. He was also a board advisor at Hyperlocalizer and also the vice-president of the Australia Brazil Chamber of Commerce, and chairman of Commique-se.

Fiorentini had given a statement that he was relishing the challenge of representing the software giant. The new role will be concentrating on consumer satisfaction, product share, revenue and growth of the consumer and online division.

Fiorentini is a senior executive with a Global Mindset that enables any company to outpace its rivals, assess opportunities, establish market pressure and then convert that across multiple markets into global competitive advantage. He has the capability of developing motivated teams to make this happen. He basically operates at the leading edge of the digital space.

Bruno Fiorentini Jr.’s Specialties consists of Leadership and integration of merged companies. He has also worked in fields of Sales, Marketing, Internet, Media, Digital Space and Business Development.

His experience which is a quite long list, he has bagged as a Board Advisor in Hyperlocalizer which is a privately held internet based industry where he helped in setting the strategies to expand the company to key global markets such as Asia and America. He was also the vice president of Australia Brazil Chamber of Commerce for one and half year where he has promoted bilateral trade between Australia and Brazil. His main objective was to engage executives from Australia and Brazil to share experience and explore opportunities in both markets. He has also served as a chairman in Comunique-se to establish policies and also to strategy to sustain the long term growth. He was the general manager of Australia and South America till October 2010 providing long term direction to grow the business in Australia and expand globally. He was the board director in Yahoo! Xtra in New Zealand where his role was to provide strategic directions for the joint venture between Yahoo!7 and Telecom New Zealand.

He was also the board director in MNet Group which a Public Company a wireless industry where his job  was to Provide long term direction to grow the business in Australia and expand globally. He has also experienced as a Chief Operations Officer in Yahoo!7 where he was Responsible for the Product Roadmap, development of long term systems to support the business growth and Marketing. He has served as General Manager in Yahoo! For almost 7 years.

As claimed by Tracey Fellows, the area president for Microsoft Asia pacific, Bruno Fiorentini will bring to Microsoft a strong breadth of online experience but also dedicated leadership and business acumen.

As we can see his long experiences has now been added with one star by becoming the new consumer and online head. Microsoft has taken in account the right candidate for their right job.
