Lenovo has updated its models of mobile workstations ThinkPad W701 and ThinkPad W701ds. Lenovo claims ThinkPad W701 as the most powerful mobile workstation and the modification can be seen with the two screens of ThinkPad W701ds. Both notebooks can be equipped with a built-in Wacom tablet and color calibrator.

Lenovo Mobile workstations ThinkPad W701 and ThinkPad W701ds are portable devices that deliver extreme performance. Claimed as the most powerful mobile computers in the line of ThinkPad, Lenovo Notebooks ThinkPad W701 and ThinkPad W701ds use quad-core processors Intel Core i7 processor that can support Turbo Boost and Hyper Threading. NVIDIA Quadro FX 2800 or 3800 with its 1 GB of memory accounts in delivering high performance in graphics and video applications. The Lenovo ThinkPad W701 has a 17 inch display with 280 nits of brightness and 100 percent NTSC color and a Wacom Digitizer and 2nd screen is 10.6 inches WXGA LED with a resolution of resolution of 768×1280 pixels.

There are four memory slots that can support RAM up to 16 GB along with a 2.5 inch HDD drive with 500 GB of storage space. There are five USB ports with one USB port has been replaced with USB 3.0. Lenovo ThinkPad also has a 5-in-1 media card expansion slot along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with a built-in Compact Flash card reader.

Lenovo ThinkPad W701 and W701ds is the only mobile workstation with 17-inch screen equipped with a built-in color calibrator. ThinkPad W701 and ThinkPad W701ds have been certified to work with the most popular professional third-party applications developers, such as Dassault Systemes CATIA ®, SolidWorks, PTC Pro / E etc.

These powerful mobile workstations, Lenovo ThinkPad W701 and ThinkPad W701ds will be available in Russia from May 2010.
